The 2017 - 2018 school year is my 21st year teaching at Bruce Elementary. I attended Mount Senario College in Ladysmith, graduated with honors, and received a teaching degree with a major in Elementary Education 1-9 and a minor in Mathematics. A few years later I enrolled at the University of LaCrosse and earned my masters degree.
I believe that all children can learn. It is my goal as a teacher to help each and every child in my classroom achieve success to the best of their abilities. I have very high expectations for my students and I hold them accountable to reach each one.
I was born right here in Wisconsin and grew up on a farm with my six brothers and one sister in the rural Cornell area. In the beginning of my high school years my family and I moved to the Holcombe area where I graduated from Holcombe High School. Shortly after high school I met and married my husband Jim. We have been married for 38 years and have six children, 3 boys and 3 girls. They are now all married and have children of their own. I have been blessed with 18 wonderful grandchildren.
My husband and I own a hobby farm where we raise beef cattle. We also have a few chickens and pigs. I have one very sweet, smart dog. Her name is Snowball.
During my free time I enjoy taking walks, reading, planting flowers, quilting, and putting together puzzles. My favorite season is fall because I love hunting with my family.
