Currently, the NHS hosted during Red Raiders Week on Monday, Feb. 8th, 2016 a Teen Dating Violence Awareness with the collaboration of the Timeout Shelter in Rusk County.  They had students K-12 write their definition of love on a little heart provided.  The hearts were collected and assembled into a larger heart for display within the school for all students and staff to see.  During the day, students wore purple and held an assembly with the school to discuss signs of an unhealthy and healthy relationship.  It was a great success through student led initiative from the NHS.
